Our Impact: Transforming the SESS Region, Nigeria.
The South-South and South-East (SESS) regions of Nigeria are rich in potential, yet they face unique challenges ranging from economic instability to social crises. At IPID, our mission is to act as a catalyst for restoration. We focus on healing the heart of the community by empowering our youth, supporting our widows, and providing a pathway out of crisis through the wisdom of our heritage.
Youth Restoration & Success Coaching
In the SESS region, many young people find themselves at a crossroads, often lured by “quick-fix” solutions that lead to long-term crisis. IPID intervenes by:
Crisis Intervention: Providing immediate mentorship and mental health support for youth caught in cycles of social unrest or economic despair.
Goal Mastery: Helping youth transition from “survival mode” to “success mode” through structured entrepreneurship and skill-acquisition programs.
Economic Alternatives: Proving that success is possible at home by creating high-revenue opportunities in local agribusiness and technology.
The Bridge of Tradition: Working with Traditional Institutions
We believe that progress is most sustainable when it respects the roots of the people. IPID works hand-in-hand with Traditional Institutions and Royal Fathers to:
Cultural Mentorship: Utilizing the moral authority of traditional leaders to guide youth back to the values of hard work, integrity, and community pride.
Dispute Resolution: Partnering with community elders to mediate crises and ensure a peaceful environment where business and education can thrive.
Resource Mapping: Working with local monarchs to identify and utilize community land and resources for youth-led agricultural clusters.
Empowering Our Widows: Strength in Resilience
Widows in the SSSE region often face the harshest economic brunt of social crises. IPID’s specialized outreach ensures they are not forgotten:
Livelihood Support: Providing micro-grants and vocational training to help widows establish small-scale businesses to support their families.
Legal & Social Advocacy: Ensuring widows are aware of their rights and have access to the social protections necessary to live in dignity.
The “Mother’s Network”: Creating a support system where widows can share resources and play a role in mentoring the younger generation.
Our Regional Record
Since our inception, our impact in the SESS region has been measured not just in numbers, but in stories of change. From a young person choosing a plow over a weapon, to a widow becoming a local business leader, IPID is rewriting the narrative of the region.
“A tree is only as strong as its roots.” By strengthening the youth and supporting the pillars of the family—our widows—under the guidance of our traditional institutions, we are ensuring the SESS region stands tall for generations to come.
