They embrace it. They chase it. They achieve it. IPID’s IMPACT IPID ; Igbo People In Diaspors is a child of circumstance. It was born at a time when a new wave of emigration overseas became an affliction with dangerous risks of trekking through Sahara Desert and jumping onto boats to cross the Atlantic Ocean became pronounced. These youth engaged in these desperate measures not by any fault of theirs but as a result of impact of a corrupt eco-political system in Nigeria.IPID emerged with a view to intervene in the lives of these lgbo youths.Overriding goal was to stop them from these dangerous desert treks and toensure that these youth are stopped from these blind risks of attempts to crossing the Atlantic into Europe of which along the way many become slaves in many parts of North Africa. Human organ harvesters trap the ones who are caught between flight to nowhere, and many never return to their families. At home , the goal also is to ensure that once we succeed in preventing from the dangerous trips that they are not also deployed as political thugs but rather that they use their education to engage in productive live pursuits.IPID has been succeeding in helping lgbo youths through self rediscovery as many now engage in small scale business through partnerships and enterprise.-IPID partners with youth so they position for the global challenge Author:Chukwuma Ewuzie
